The stage is set for the 5th edition of Champions League T20 Cricket tournament 2013. All ten teams have been decided for the main round of the CL T20 Tournament. New Zealand domestic T20 team Otago Volts under the captaincy of Brendon McCullum and IPL T20 team Sunrisers Hyderabad under the captaincy of new skipper Shikhar Dhawan has qualified for main stage while Faisalabad Wolves from Pakistan and Kandurata Maroons from Sri Lanka have failed to qualify. Otago Volts and Sunrisers Hyderabad have joined Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Brisbane Heats, Titans, Rajasthan Royals, Highveld Lions, Trinidad & Tobago and Perth Scorchers.

There are four teams from Indian Premier League, two teams from the Australian and South Africa and one each from the New Zealand and West Indies. IPL 2013 champion Mumbai Indians will take on Rajasthan Royals in the opening match of CL T20 on 21st September 2013 at Jaipur. It will be interesting to see how Mumbai Indians perform at the Royals den as Rajasthan Royal has incredible winning record at Sawai Man Sigh Stadium, Jaipur.

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Otago Volts both played brilliant cricket and excelled as a team in Qualifiers. Both Otago Volts and Sunrsiers Hyderabad have good pace attach while Hyderabad have good T20 spinner in Amit Mishra. As Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad will be playing in their courtyard so all these teams have upper edge on other participating teams.
This champions League T20 Cricket tournament is going to be the last domestic T20 tournament for master batsman Sachin Tendulkar. So he will try to end the domestic T20 career on high note while his teams are planning to win this T20 Tournament for him. Mumbai Indians will definitely miss the services of their star strike bowler Lasith Malinga.
Semi-finals of the Champions League Twenty20 will be played on 4th Oct at Jaipur and 5th Oct at Delhi respectively. The final for the Champions League T20 title will be played on the 6th October 2013 at Delhi.

Chennai Super Kings is going to win the CL-T20 2013. They have the strongest team in the tournament.
