This team looks pretty good but the greatest off-spinner Murali Muralitharan, most successful wicket-keeper Mark Boucher and greatest test skipper Ricky Ponting have failed to get a place in the squad. It can be understood as it is simply impossible to put in so many test cricket greats in the team of eleven but Wisden has done a great job. Overall, this team looks very balanced having five specialist batsman, one wicket keeper batsman, two fast bowlers, two spinners and a batting all-rounder.

What do you feel about this World XI squad by the Wisden ? Which cricketer is missing in this line up of the World XI ? Drop your feedback and responses in the comment box.
